Kop Hill Climb 2025
Red Kite Radio's Breakfast Show presenter Annette Luck represented our station at the exciting Kop Hill Climb event on Saturday 20th September. This thrilling motorsport event brought together racing enthusiasts and spectators for a day of high-speed action and community spirit.
Annette was there to capture the excitement and atmosphere of this popular local event, connecting with participants and spectators alike. The Kop Hill Climb showcases the vibrant motorsport community in our area and demonstrates Red Kite Radio's commitment to covering the diverse interests and activities of our listeners.

Community Radio Awards 2024
At the annual national Community Radio Awards, held this year in Cardiff, Red Kite Radio's Sunday Brunch presenter John Reid-Hansen was a finalist in the Best Radio Show of the Year (60+) category. There are over 300 licenced community radio stations across the country, and to be a finalist in this category was a great achievement.
John was supported at the awards by Red Kite Radio colleagues, including Breakfast Show presenter Alan Taberer and Unironic Country presenter Tamsin Starling. The Community Radio Awards ceremony brought together radio stations from across the UK to celebrate excellence in community broadcasting.

Christmas Party 2024
Red Kite Radio's annual Christmas Party 2024 was a wonderful celebration bringing together our presenters, volunteers, and supporters for a festive evening of entertainment and community spirit. The event showcased the strong bonds within our radio family and provided an opportunity to reflect on another successful year of community broadcasting.
The party featured live music, festive refreshments, and plenty of laughter as our radio team came together to celebrate the holiday season. Presenters from across all our shows joined in the festivities, creating memorable moments and strengthening the connections that make Red Kite Radio such a special part of our community.
As you can see from the pictures below, everyone had a fantastic time at our Christmas Party 2024, celebrating another year of bringing quality radio programming to Thame, Haddenham, Chinnor, Princes Risborough and the surrounding villages.
Farmers Market 2024
Breakfast Show presenters Alan Taberer and Annette Luck and Unironic Country presenter Tamsin Starling enjoyed hosting the Red Kite Radio stand, and meeting other stallholders and visitors, at the Farmers Market on the King George V Playing Field in Wellington Avenue.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for Red Kite Radio to connect directly with the local community, showcasing our commitment to serving Thame, Haddenham, Chinnor, Princes Risborough and the surrounding villages. Our presenters had great conversations with listeners and introduced new people to our community radio station.
